Steve McQueen did it with Le Mans, and fifteen years earlier Cornell Wilde did it with the Devil's Hairpin. It's an ego thing, but terrific for cars: Jaguar D-Type, Aston Martin DB3S, Arnolt Bristol, plus Chuck Porter's MB 300 'SLS'.
