Speedway - Original Belgian Movie Poster, 1929
Speedway was an American racing movie, set at Indianapolis and the 500. This is the poster for the first release in Belgium in 1929, where it was known as "Coureur".
This poster is a wonderful find, representing one of the very earliest motor-racing movies, silent, and black and white, of course, complete with artist's impressions of the Miller Specials of the day. More on them here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Miller_(auto_racing)
The story was the usual blend of ego ridden driver, staunch and loyal mechanic, and beautiful dame.
This Belgian poster for the American movie, " Speedway " is in beautiful condition, and has been linen backed, ready for framing.
