Version B - Le Grand Cirque, Original Movie Poster, France 1950
The Version B poster of Le Grand Cirque – “The Big Show” – which started life as a novel by wartime flying ace, Pierre Clostermann, a most extraordinary character, who at various times, as well as being Flying Ace and Author, was Engineer and Politician.
His wartime exploits earned him, from France, le Grand Croix of the Legion d’Honneur, and the Croix de Guerre. From Britain came the DSO, DFC and Bar; from the USA, the Silver Star and the Air Medal.
His success rate in Spitfires and Tempests was legendary.

Of course, the off-shoot of all this is this wonderful original French Movie Poster for Le Grand Cirque which has been restored ( it didn’t need much ) and linen backed. It measures 1.2 x 1.6 metres
